When our founder was just 12 years old, anxiety and developing autoimmune conditions made even getting out of bed impossible. A fully trained service dog wasn't financially possible, but what she did have was a deep love for dogs, a determination to learn, and a Husky mix who changed her life.
She dove into every scrap of knowledge she could find on dog behaviour and psychology. Along the way, a Las Vegas Police Officer heard about her dream of becoming a K9 handler and took her under his wing. Teaching her real world skills from scent work (specifically Human Remains Detection) to bitework handling.
After years working with and learning from multiple respected service dog organizations, many mistakes, and over 20 successful service dog teams placed, it was time to build something of her own and Nose For Success was born.
We are a balanced training program, using the least aversive methods first, always prioritising the dogs wellbeing and confidence. Every tool, every technique, and every decision is centered around creating reliable working dogs who love their jobs.
We are actively expanding our certifications, including international credentials, to continue to raising our standards even higher.
